While it’s our job as coaches to champion our clients to create their own unique vision of a fulfilled life, its also our job to support them in embracing the fullness of their present life experience. And, while it is never planned or intended, this can also include the experience of loss, whether arising from the death of a loved one; end of a relationship; loss of home resulting from displacement; or loss of identity. Indeed, its unlikely that during your career, you will not encounter a client experiencing loss and the inevitable grief which follows. Like any other emotion grief is part of the human experience, not a symptom of a pathology, and so while it can be intense, with sensitivity, courageous honesty, and the right skill, its gentle transformation over time is possible. With patience, over time, our ability to successfully coach grief and loss, serves our client in helping renew their connection to life and the future they wish to create. This class is designed to help you to upgrade your existing skillset to meet the needs of your clients encountering loss. Still have further questions? Please click here for our FAQs.
“Attending Coaching Grief & Loss has been an extremely powerful and moving experience. I have found the level of trust and sharing that developed between the participants in
only a few sessions quite amazing. I have grown in both my intellectual and experiential understanding of the grieving process, and hence in
my ability to coach it with presence and compassion. Nick creates a safe space for participants to open up and new insights to be discovered! For me I made a step forward in grieving the death of my father, and the memory I hold of him. Nick is an incredible coach – compassionate, decisive and competent – and I have found his approach towards coaching grief simple yet extremely powerful!”
“For anyone considering taking this course, just do it! Nick provides an insightful learning experience and the opportunity to practice coaching around the sensitive topic of death, grief and loss, in a supportive and safe environment. The course has already proved invaluable in my professional life, plus it’s opened the door to authentic conversations about loss with family and friends. I also had the chance to explore my own recent experiences of grief, which were still quite raw. Thank you again for offering such a wonderful opportunity to discover and heal.”
“I have always been unsure about addressing grief with my coaching clients. Coaching Grief and Loss has helped me use my own experience of grief in a way that will really help me as a coach. Nick’s approach is gentle and spacious, respecting not only the impact of grief itself, but also the loss of other relationships through key events such as divorce and separation. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who is interested in helping clients through grief or loss, as well as getting a better understanding of their own grief within a small and safe group environment along the way”.
